Passengers in a car screamed when they saw flames caused by the Carr Fire close to a road in Redding, California, on July 27.

In the video, a car can be seen driving on a road while smoke fills the sky. A passenger screams when she sees flames caused by the Carr Fire near the road. Another passenger is heard screaming when she sees the flames, too.

“Driving around my neighborhood, we came across the start of a spot fire near two houses and a residential area,” the filmer said.

The Carr Fire “raged through several Northern California communities, killing two firefighters and destroying dozens of homes after thousands of terrified residents fled in miles-long traffic jams,” The Associated Press reported.

Cal Fire said the fire has grown to 44,450 acres, according to Wildfire Today.
