2018 Badwater 135 daytime highlights
Ultra runners begin one of the world's toughest footraces, the 2018 Badwater 135. The icon ultramarathon that starts in Death Valley, CA at Badwater Basin, 283 feet below sea level. The race ends 135 miles and 14,000 feet of elevation gain later at Mt. Whitney trail portal.
The video includes runners interacting with their crews as the pass through time station 2 in Stovepipe Wells, CA. Also runners crossing the Panamint Valley. Race of note at the 00:36 second mark is #9 Grant Maughan of Dudley, New South Wales, Australia.
