Wheelchair Crowd Surf at Vans Final Warped Tour

Buy video

This video was shot during Ice Nine Kill's set at Mansfield Massachusetts final Vans Warped Tour on Thursday June 27th. Carrie Brum was carefully carried across the crowd in her wheel chair as Ice Nine Kills played their last song on the set list. The security guards, band members, and fans shared heart felt moment together. Metal and it's sub genres have a bad reputation for being aggressive and loud and their fans to also live up to this reputation with their aggressive dancing in mosh pits and head banging madness. This moment captures how truly amazing the metal scene is that we are not as angry and aggressive as others perceive. We are a family, a community of people regardless of your disability, race, sexual orientation etc. We care and look out for each other even though the person standing next to us might be a total stranger. When someone hits the pavement in the mosh pit you have three stretched arms reaching towards you to get you back up and even if you're in a wheel chair we will happily help you crowd surf. This moment will go down is history thank you everyone involved and thank you Vans Warped Tour
