Factory goes up in flames as large fire breaks out in western Connecticut

Crew battled a large fire ignited at an empty warehouse in Waterbury, Connecticut, on July 30.

According to local media, the blaze started at around 8:45 pm. Witnesses said it could be seen from miles away, and meteorologists reported the smoke plume to be so large it was picked up on a weather radar. There were no known injuries.

This video, filmed by Lou Musco, shows the smoke cloud and flames from a distance.

The cause of the fire was not known at the time of writing.
