Woman in wheelchair crowd surfs with help of heavy metal fans
This heavy metal fan in a wheelchair was helped to crowd surf by a group of fans.
Footage captured at the Vans Warped Tour in Mansfield, Massachusetts on June 27th shows the moment the woman, named by the filmer as Carrie Brum, was guided through the air by the crowd.
The incident, which occurred while the band Ice Nine Kill were playing, showed the metal scene is not as "aggressive" as people think, the filmer says.
They add: "The security guards, band members, and fans shared a heartfelt moment together.
"Metal and its sub-genres have a bad reputation for being aggressive and loud and their fans also live up to this reputation with their aggressive dancing in mosh pits and headbanging madness.
"This moment captures how truly amazing the metal scene is that we are not as angry and aggressive as others perceive."
