This is the frightening moment an over-speeding tuk tuk loses control and flips.

Passengers – many injured seriously – scramble to get out of the overturned vehicle.

The incident occurred at Bajpur in Udham Singh Nagar, India, on July 27.

The terrifying accident, which killed one person and injured four seriously, was caught on a CCTV camera.

An eyewitness, Manik Lal, 52, said the tuk tuk was loaded with nearly a dozen passengers way above the permissible limit. “Bystanders saved many lives by rushing in to put out fire and pull out passengers,” he said.

“Tuk Tuks have become traffic hazards. They overload and over-speed in competition but traffic officials have not stepped in to check them,” he added.
