The 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Lombok, an Indonesian island located next to tourist hotspot Bali, on August 5 caused widespread devastation and left more than a hundred dead.

This video, shared to Facebook by Victoria Saxer, shows damaged structures, houses that have completely collapsed and piles of fallen debris on the ground from her car window. She told Newsflare that she was in the car to Bangsal, where she then walked and took a taxi to the ferry terminal in Lembar. The clip was filmed at around 10:30 am on August 6, the morning after the quake.

Local media reports dozens of villages flattened by the earthquake, and that electricity supply and telecommunication networks have been cut off in the worst-affected areas.

This was the second earthquake to hit Lombok in a week after a quake on July 29 killed 16. The death toll continues to rise as crew expand their rescue efforts.
