Gale force winds have given this building a musical – albeit spooky – tone.

The filmer, Emily Whalen, was sitting in a car park watching the adverse weather roll into Tempe, Arizona.

She initially thought that the eerie sound was coming from the trees, but soon realized it was the building adjacent.

Arizona has recently been hit with a large dust storm and is on high alert for risk of flooding due to the adverse weather.

Emily said: "The building is covered in these metal flaps on the side of the building facing the street.

"It's a really unique design for a building. The multiple metal flaps can be opened and closed."

The wind's otherworldly song through the grates of a building.

The video was taken in Tempe Arizona near Tempe Town Lake. I was originally sitting in a parking lot at a public park watching a stormfront roll in. It started with a dust storm, which are always interesting to watch role in. The winds became very strong, ~70 mph, and I couldn't resist going out & standing in it.  In between where I was standing & where the building was were set of trees. I originally thought the sound was the wind blowing through the trees until I noticed the building located behind them. The building is covered in metal flaps on the side that faces the street. It's a really unique design for a building. The many metal flaps can be opened or closed. Throughout the year they open and close specific flaps to spell out a messages. Well when I noticed the building,  I left the parking lot to investigate. Somehow, the strong wind blowing through all those bits of moving metal produced this beautiful and unworldly "singing" which varied between three or four different tones at random. I was located in my car when I recorded the video, stopped in the left hand turn lane with passenger window down to prevent my microphone from being blown out by the wind. There were no cars behind me at the time so I sat through two green lights to capture the footage. After getting a couple minutes of footage while stopped at an intersection, I finally decided it was time to move on.
