On 9.08.2018 Mannheim reached a sudden downburst.

At about 3 o'clock in the afternoon a heavy cloud roll swept over the Mannheim marshalling yard.

Within a few minutes the sky darkened and a green cloud obscured parts of the city. In addition to dust and dirt, she also spun a lot of garbage and branches, which became dangerous bullets.

The climax reached the Fallböe when she met the locomotive workshop in the marshalling yard.

Within seconds, she tore off the roof and hurled it at the track system and the locomotives parked there.

Luckily nobody was hurt there.

The damage is enormous, the technical relief organization was alerted and the building had to be evacuated.

As eye-witnesses, all that remains to be said is that something else is only known from films. But this time it was real and scary

Just another view of this heavy storm
