An adorable baby elephant made an awkward attempt to get back on its feet in Kruger National Park in South Africa on August 7.

“During a safari in the Kruger National Park, we came across a herd of elephants slowly moving into a dry riverbed,” the filmer said. “While all the elephants made their way down a small slope into the riverbed, we suddenly noticed a baby elephant lying on the ground halfway down the slope.”

“The adorable baby elephant was lying in a very strange position,” the filmer continued. “Instead of walking down the slope, the baby elephant decided to crawl down carefully.”

“The most entertaining part was watching the funny and very awkward manner in which the young elephant attempted to get back on its feet,” the filmer said. “Eventually, the determined little elephant managed to move one of its back legs outwards and from there managed to get back onto its feet.”

“After a good laugh, we were happy to see the baby elephant back on its feet, no matter how ungraceful the effort looked like,” the filmer said.

Baby elephants never fail to amuse. In their first few years baby elephants are clumsy and continuously find themselves in awkward situations and positions.
