A flooded road in Bulacan, Philippines, after storm Storm Karding (Yagi) brought several days of torrential rain and severe flooding across the capital region Metro Manila and surrounding areas.

Tropical Storm Karding (Yagi) alreadt left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning, August 11, but the steady flow of rain continued because of the southwest monsoon until August 13.

18 evacuation centers are set up as a response to the 4,736 families or about 21,103 individuals who are affected by the Marikina River overlow alone.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on August 12 raised red alert status on the region's affected areas including towns near the Marikina and Pasig rivers.
