A group of men beat up a suspected acid attacker in the middle of an east London street.

Footage filmed on August 14 in Stratford shows the group kicking the unknown man and covering him in milk after he allegedly attacked supermarket customers with acid.

At one point a man even produces a baseball bat and lands a blow.

"Yo, if you bring acid ever again," the filmer can be heard saying.

The filmer later told Newsflare that the man – reportedly a rough sleeper – had asked customers of a supermarket for change before becoming aggressive and throwing a substance towards shoppers.

After a barrage of blows, the bloodied man got up and was "wobbling everywhere," the filmer said.

Before riding off on a yellow dockless bicycle, the man reportedly produced a knife and threatened the men who had attacked him.

The Metropolitan police said they were aware of the footage but added that the incident had not been reported to them.
