A snake rescuer offered water to a deadly cobra he had just saved.

As he poured water from a plastic can, the thirsty cobra gulped it down with relish.

Suresh Khandevi, a farmer at Kakarvadi village in Ahmedabad Nagar district of Maharashtra, India, spotted the cobra in a well that had dried up.

He thought the cobra would climb out of the well on its own. After a few days waiting, he decided to call a well-known snake rescuer, Akash Jadhav.

Jadhav and his team went to the village and pulled out the cobra from the well.

“The cobra had been in the well for nearly 15 days. It was hungry and thirsty. I poured water over its face and it started drinking.”

“I usually offer water to snakes if I find them dehydrated,” he added.

Jadhav took the cobra to a nearby forest and released it later.
