Adorable footage of a baby elephant trying to intimidate a safari vehicle.

The clip, filmed August 6 in Kruger National Park, shows a herd of elephants patrolling near a safari vehicle when the baby of the group decides to check out the vehicle.

“With its ears spread out and trunk swinging around, the baby elephant believed he could intimidate the big green object standing in the road in front of him," the filmer said.

"It was extremely funny to see this amusing behaviour,” added the filmer.

The mother finally intervenes and shows the gutsy baby elephant that there is no danger.

We were enjoying an early morning safari in the Kruger National Park when we came across a breeding herd of elephants. Before we knew it, we were surrounded by female elephants and their young. Getting so close to the planets largest land mammal is a thrilling experience. Watching their young at the same time is amusing and always a very entertaining occasion. The herd was moving slowly across the road right in front of us, when one adorable baby elephant unexpectedly stopped. The baby elephant then turned around away from the herd members and suddenly started approaching the vehicle with a real intimidating attitude. With its ears spread out and trunk swinging around, the baby elephant believed he could intimidate the big green object standing in the road in front of him. It was extremely funny to watch this amusing behaviour. It was not long before the mother elephant stepped closer to see what was going on. The baby elephant quickly realized that it was being naughty and moved away. Once the mother realized all was well, the baby elephant then totally ignored the vehicle and casually went on the get a few sips of milk from mommy.
