A gender reveal balloon floated away before it could get popped during a party in Duluth, Minnesota, on August 9.

In the video, the expectant mother can be seen holding a gender reveal balloon while a woman standing next to her holds a tack to pop the balloon.

But the balloon floats away when the woman attempts to pop it, causing partygoers to scream and laugh.

The expectant mother explained that she set up the event for the staff and athletes in her cheerleading program.

“The woman in the video with the tack is our most enthusiastic staff member, who is very excited about the baby,” the expectant mother said.

“She cried. I laughed. It was a good time,” the expectant mother told Newsflare.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in December. We are not the traditional “gender reveal” type of people. I feel like the reactions can become inauthentic, and the concept behind a big gender reveal is more about competition and one-upping one another instead of about celebrating a new baby! They had been voting on gender, and planning various things for our first born. earlier this week my husband and I found out our baby’s gender, and revealed it privately to our immediate family and closest friends.
