This adult elephant was caught on camera having the time of his life playing in the mud as if it was a youngster.

The footage shows a ''big tusker'' elephant standing in the middle of a mud pond, kneeling down and continuously rolling onto his side.

The filmer writes: ''During a recent safari in the Kruger National Park we were very fortunate to witness one of the very few remaining and rarely seen ‘big tusker’ elephants.

''The most amusing part was when this giant started kicking around in the mud, looking just like a baby elephant having the time of his life. It was like this old giant was reliving his childhood days for a brief moment.

''Once he was done with his mud bath, the big elephant unexpectedly got back onto his feet with real ease, unlike most young elephants who usually struggle to get up after a mud bath.''

We came across this impressive looking elephant standing in the middle of a mud wallow. The old guy was cooling off during the heat of the day by spraying himself with mud. To our amazement the elephant suddenly leant forward with his head and pierced his massive tusks into the mud for support. The next thing he kneels down and falls over onto his side. The most amusing part was when this giant started kicking around in the mud, looking just like a baby elephant having the time of his life. It was like this old giant was reliving his childhood days for a brief moment.
