Two adorable baby elephants played their hearts out in the water in Kruger National Park in South Africa on August 17.

“While on safari in Kruger National Park, we spent over an hour watching a herd of elephants swimming in a river,” the filmer said. “It was in the middle of a scorching hot day and the elephants came down to the river for a drink of water and to cool down.”

“In this herd were two baby elephant brothers that had different plans,” the filmer added. “It was clear that they were there to play and have fun in the water.”

“Watching these little elephants playing around was by far the most entertaining sight on the whole safari,” the filmer said.

The video starts with the baby elephants making their way into the water. The clumsy little elephant in front suddenly trips and falls. The baby elephant gets back up and jumps into the deep water with his brother following. The one little guy attempts to climb onto the back of one of the adults but then falls back into the water. Both baby elephants enjoyed a short swimming session in the deep water with heads going under and trunks up in the air. Once back in the shallow water they decided to chase each other. Running along the bank they showed again how clumsy they are, tripping and falling a few times more during the chase. In the end both looked like they were out of breath and calmly left the river. Watching these little elephants playing around was by far the most entertaining sight on the whole safari.
