A man attacked women with a chair after customers dining at two nearby tables had an argument in a restaurant in northern China.

The shocking video, filmed in Handan City in Hebei Province on Wednesday (August 29), shows three men arguing with several women before throwing punches.

At one point, a man is seen using a chair to hit a woman in a grey shirt and brutally smashing her head onto the table before beating her to the ground.

Another woman in white T-shirt trying to help the other woman is punched before the man repeatedly lands blows on her using the chair.

Then, he walks to the other side and uses the chair in his hand to try to beat another woman fighting with two other men.

According to reports, three men had an argument with the customers dining on a table next to them and then started to beat the women in the restaurant.

It is unknown what the argument was about.

Six people had minor injuries, while two men were detained by police and one man escaped.

The case is under investigation and the police are searching for the runaway man.
