A serial criminal claimed he led police on a 100mph chase in his girlfriend's car because he was angry with her. James Poole, 24, went on the high-speed joyride in June this year in what a judge has called one of the 'worst cases of dangerous driving I have seen for some time'. He abandoned the car and ran off after the chase in St Leonards, East Sussex - but was later identified using a credit card he had left behind, Hove Crown Court heard. Prosecutor Naomi Edwards said: “The officer carried out a search of that vehicle and found a credit card belonging to Mr Poole and it was from that that they were able to identify him.”
