Fire fighting aircraft dumps 50,000 gallons of water at Oshkosh

The Martin Mars was developed late in World War II and did not see much service as an troop carrier. But it has found service as a fighter of forest fires by scooping up thousands of gallons of water from fresh water lakes then dumping it on fires. Here it releases 50,000 gallons in a matter of seconds over the runway at AirVenture Oshkosh, the largest annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts in the world.
