Part of roof explodes after touching wires during Typhoon Jebi
A small explosion occurred after a piece of debris hit power lines in Osaka in the middle of Typhoon Jebi.
Footage filmed this morning (September 4) in Japan's second city shows the electrical explosion as high winds whistle through buildings.
The filmer writes: "During Typhoon Jebi a large piece of a structure, possibly a wall or roof, hit the overhead wires of an elevated train track.
"The debris can be seen hanging from the wires. Suddenly one piece shorted the wires and exploded."
The powerful storm is believed to be the strongest in Japan in 25 years.
Up to 300,000 people were advised to evacuate as cities such as Osaka and Kyoto come under threat from the typhoon.
