A stray dog-faces off against a young leopard in Jaipur, northwest India.

The dog manages to stand its ground, barking incessantly at the big cat. The leopard stares at it in a tense stand-off, while the dog continues its tirade.

It then leaves quietly, without attacking the dog.

A forest official said the dog strayed into the forest accidentally leading to the meeting with the two-year-old female leopard named Juliet.

“Juliet left quietly as there were visitors in jeeps behind the dog. If not it is unlikely that the dog would have survived the encounter,” he added.

Here’s a stray dog that lived to tell a tale.

It had the misfortune of coming face-to-face with a leopard in a forest.

Though scared, the dog held its ground and barked continuously keeping its tail safely tucked in between its hind legs.

The leopard looked a little baffled and left quietly without making any attempt to attack the dog.

The memorable encounter occurred at Jhalana safari park near Jaipur, Rajasthan.
