Phil Mitchell was targeted by 'youths' intent on harassing him - but was left 'defenceless' after police refused to send officers. The 61-year-old was sitting at home when he could feel the maddening vibration of a football against his front door at night. When the father asked the gang to stop - he was lambasted during a torrent of foul-mouthed abuse on August 24.
