Storm Gordon nears hurricane strength, kills Florida child after tree crushes trailer
Local media reported one confirmed death connected to Tropical Storm Gordon on September 4.
The incident happened at around 8:50 pm in Pensacola, Florida, where a child was killed as a tree fell on to his mobile home. No further information has been released.
This video, filmed in Pensacola, shows strong winds coming in.
According to authorities, Gordon made landfall on the Gulf Coast just after 10 pm local time. About 24,000 customers were without power across Alabama, Florida and Mississippi as flooding and storm surge warnings remain in force.
