My 8 month old Alaskan Malamute Sojou has been slowly introduced to Phoebe Cockatiel who likes to land on my head , shoulder or hand. On this occasion Sojou took a sniff and got very close to her. Everything is good as long as Phoebe doesn't take flight because that's when Sojou's natural instincts to hunt get triggered. As long as you make sure that Sojou understands that Phoebe is part of the family and under close supervision they can learn to become friends.
