This was the terrifying moment two bikes collided while performing stunts at a "Well a Death" performance in India.

Both the bike riders fell from a height of 30 feet and suffered injuries.

The mishap occurred during a local fair in Surender Nagar in Gujarat, India, on September 3.

Eyewitnesses said the bikes collided during the concluding segment of the show.

“One of the bikes went out of control after developing a flat tyre,” said Ravinder Aggarwal, 26, who was at the show.

“The bike almost climbed to the top where the audience stood. As the rider struggled to regain control, it fell on another bike which had come below it,” he added.

Chilling videos shot by spectators show both bikes and their riders crashing to the ground.

“The two cars had landed safely or the accident would have been worse,” said Aggarwal.

The local police are probing the incident. “There were not following any safety measures including wearing helmets,” said an official.

Quoting doctors, local police said injuries were not life-threatening and both riders would recover soon.

Well of death shows are popular in India and are major draws at local fairs.

Stuntmen ride vehicles on the vertical wall of a wooden cylindrical structure usually about 40 feet high.

Spectators stand upon a platform built on top and gaze down into the well where the motorcyclists and cars drive.
