Scooter rider is inches away from being hit by minivan after crash with car
A scooter driver was inches away from being struck by a minivan that was sent careering across a road after striking another vehicle at high speed.
The dramatic CCTV video, captured in Suzhou City in eastern Jiangsu Province on September 1, shows the grey minivan flipping over after being struck by a black car at an intersection.
It narrowly misses the scooter rider, who comes to an abrupt halt.
The driver of the black car suffered injuries to his neck and seven of the eight passengers in the minivan were injured to varying degrees.
According to reports, the minivan was carrying one person too many. In addition, there was no set of traffic lights at the crossing.
The accident was being investigated, reports said.
