Moment residents flee as quake hits China’s Yunnan Province

Residents in southwest China fled in panic from buildings when a 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit on Saturday (September 8).

In CCTV video, people can be seen running out of the shops, a bank and an apartment block as the buildings shaking and parts of ceilings fall down.

The footage was captured in Mojiang Hani Autonomous County in Yunnan Province.

Mobile phone video shows fallen goods from supermarket shelving.

In total, 26 people are so far reported to have suffered minor injuries, reports said.
