The village Baan pha on is being terrorized by a herd of about 30 Elephants. A few weeks ago 54-Year-old Thamsin Ratananupappot got stamped to death by a herd. For the first time he speaks about the incident that ruined his lifeNow the 73-year-old farmer and his family have to sell his property and borrow money from the neighbors in order to pay the enormous medical bills. The elephant crushed his upper body. The ribs almost stabbed his lungs and his back suffered severe fractures:Back in the village the people arm themselves with fireworks to scare away the giant animals. But there must be a better solution to this, hopes the former major of the village Narong Rang SiEvery night around 5 pm about 20 volunteers from the village meet in a wooden shack, to support the couple of rangers who live here to monitor the wild elephants. The group of farmers, teachers and rangers are only allowed to use slingshots against the giant animals:On a daily basis the group risks their life in order to protect their village from the giant animals, and there is no end insight.
