This is the moment a large pane of glass fell from the 22nd floor of a skyscraper, landing perilously close to an on-camera reporter, during Typhoon Mangkhut.

Eyewitness video, captured in Shenzhen City in southern Guangdong Province on September 16, shows a pane of glass on the outer wall of the China Development Bank Tower coming loose in the high winds and falling to the ground.

A local TV reporter then went to the scene with a cameraman.

Video obtained from local network Guangdong Television shows reporter He Chong delivering a piece-to-camera - and a second pane of glass falling behind him.

The reporter is seen jumping away as he hears the commotion behind him.

Fortunately, no one was injured.
