Watch this female kestrel snatch an offering from her mate. A male kestrel would normaly catch food for a prospective mate as part of their courtship routine, but this male is reluctant to let go and the female is not going to wait for the courtesy of being offered the token. She just wrestles it out of his grasp!. Note that both birds are bedgraggled - it has rained here all day and clearly these two are not in the mood for the delicacies of a loving courtship!
