This is the heart-warming moment a security guard 'made friends' with a wild crow - which started eating from his outstretched hand.

Romy Alcoreza was sitting down at work outside an electronics company in the town of Calamba in Laguna province, the Philippines, on September 2.

The guard heard the bird squawking nervously while hopping along the branches of nearby bushes.

Romy gently beckoned over the black crow with crumbs of rice scattered across his blue log book. Then when the bird had started to trust him, he held out the food in his hand.

The large crow hopped across and perched on a green plastic chair while it pecked the food from Romy's hand.

Father-of-three Romy said: ''It feels good that animals seem to trust us and ask us for food. Let's take care of them like what I do for my crow friend.''
