Social media users term city "Jurassic Hong Kong" as trees lie uprooted following typhoon
Locals in Hong Kong took to social media to term the city a "giant Jurassic Park" in the wake of Typhoon Mangkhut, which uprooted massive trees continuing to cause transport disruptions.
Online, residents edited pictures showing felled trees and scattered debris, creating dramatic movie posters to reflect the situation.
This video shows a massive tree uprooted by the typhoon's strong winds.
Mangkhut ravaged Hong Kong on September 16 as authorities raised the Typhoon 10 signal, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane. The typhoon was the largest to hit the city since records began more than 70 years ago.
