Horror as Russian couple crash into electric cables while paragliding
This is the moment a Russian couple crashed into electric cables while paragliding at a resort by the Black Sea on Saturday (September 22).
The incident took a place on the beach of Dzhugbe, western Russia on the shores of the Black Sea around 5pm.
Accordingly to witnesses, winds were very high that morning, so all tourists were advised to avoid any risky activities. However, a man and a woman from the town of Oryol, south of Moscow, ignored the warnings and decided to entertain themselves by paragliding.
According to the filmer, the couple hitched themselves to a boat for lift, and were almost immediately thrown into the high-voltage wires by a gust of wind. Both were electrocuted and fell to the ground after being shaken free.
In the video we can hear terrified onlookers saying: "What a nightmare." After the incident, some people hurried to help the couple, while others called for an ambulance.
Apparently once ambulances and police had arrived, all owners and runners of beach activities had mysteriously disappeared.
Russian press reported that both victims are alive, but badly injured. The woman had her nose broken among many other wounds, while her partner's condition is not stable due to multiple broken ribs.
The incident is being investigated by local authorities. Police are performing license checks for all beach attractions that worked in that area.
