Police arrived at the scene of Torquay harbourside on Wednesday, September 26, after a man was reported to be walking on the "wrong side" of the footbridge railings at Fleet Walk shopping centre.

According to local media, the incident involved the 'concern for the welfare' of the person. Police officers set up road blocks and cordons, shutting off the area for the investigation.

The man was later escorted to safety.

An police incedent took place this afte evening at the Torquay seafront which closed several roads. In this video you will see the harbour master boat coming close to shore to drop of a bag to the waiting police officers who took the back after putting their blue gloves on. They continued to investigate the bags content and it looks like they pulling some paperwork out of the bag before leaving with the bag.
