This is the emotional moment a teenager bursts into tears when her disabled father struggles to his feet for the first dance at her 18th birthday party.

Rubbish collector Odet Belas, 50, earns just 250 Pesos (3.50GBP) a day but had been saving for the last two years to give his beloved daughter Rosalinda a dream bash.

The father-of-one suffered with polio when he was a boy and having lost both his legs, needs crutches to hobble around when he's not riding on his waste-collecting cart.

But nothing was going to stop him clambering across to his daughter in her red dress as she celebrated on the dance floor for her "debut party" - the Filipino coming of age celebration.

Footage captured the emotional moment at the party in Surigao City, Philippines on August 31.

Rosalinda said: ''This was the happiest moment of my life. I'm so lucky to have a father.

"We may not be the richest, but the struggles he has been through to give me a special day shows the power of love.''
