M27 Bridge Demolition
The M27 was closed today as demolition crews demolished a motorway bridge half a mile from Rownham Services in Southampton.
Demolition company Armac Group - which goes by the nickname "the Bridge Busters" used a number of large excavators equipped with hydraulic breakers and attachments to carry out the time sensitive demolition.
The M27 is scheduled to be open to traffic by Monday morning; but Armac Group is targeting a Sunday afternoon completion of demolition works
