The Emerald Isle earned its name as drone footage caught a rainbow curving beneath the green waters of Lough Foyle, Donegal in Ireland.

The drone photographer spotted the rainbow around 7:00am on September 28, and sent up his drone to the legal height limit of 120m to catch it arcing through the water.

The lough's tides stir up sand and sediment beneath the surface, causing the beautiful cloudy formations to form beneath the surface.

I spotted a rainbow over Lough Foyle in Co. Donegal, so I sent my drone up for a look, soon I spotted it extending onto the water, so I climbed to the legal height limit of 120m and was amazed to see much of the entire rainbow arcing through the water!, the camera was panned straight down, you can see the sand under the lough moving with the tide with rainbow on top, quite a scene for 7am in the morning.
