Epic Drone Vs Golden Eagle

Buy video

I’m a photographer / videographer. I was out flying in southern Colorado during the fall season. Getting some great aerial footage of the aspen leaves changing color. When all of a sudden I was approached very aggressively by a Golden Eagle. As soon as that happens, I try to get the drone back to me as fast as I can. I was flying backwards to try to keep a visual on the eagle, but I could not see it. As I pan back and forth looking for the eagle while I’m flying backward as fast as I can, I finally see the eagle. I watch him get closer and closer. I’m thinking to myself, as soon as he comes in for me, I’ll veer up and forward! He tucks his wings and is on me in no time, he flys up out of scene and before I could turn to look for him, he swoops down and takes out my drone. He hit so hard the battery flew out , because I instantly lost all feed. The drone was nowhere to be found. I think he flew off with it and feed it to his little chickens!
