In the footage, filmed in South Palu on October 2, few houses are left standing amid debris four days after the disaster that, combined with a 20-foot tall tsunami on the same day, killed more than a thousand.
Coastal infrastructure can be seen reduced to rubble as vehicles lie lopsided with bumpers torn off.
The current death toll stands at around 1,400, and authorities expect the number to rise as rescue efforts continue on. Mass burials are underway to mourn the lives lost.
