Re-enactors re-create the dance and the musical duo Myal Pyper perform the song. Jenny Pluck Pears is a traditional song from the late 16th Century. Although included in Playford's 1651 "The English Dancing Master" compilation of dances and tunes it appears in the Lleweni estate records tune list (1595) as "Gini Gether Payers". The tune is played in a major key in this performance because the pipes do not have all the notes to play as a minor. The choreography/dance is thought to possibly date from around the 1560s. Performed at a re-enactment event 'Pirates Attack' at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth, Cornwall, England.
