Residents living along the Gulf coast saw flooding late Tuesday, early hours of Wednesday as Hurricane Michael neared landfall.

This video, filmed in Gulfport, Pinellas County at around 1:30 am, shows a flooded street.

Neighboring cities are bracing for the hurricane, which authorities say will be the strongest the area has seen in over 10 years.

Michael was upgraded to a Category 4 storm shortly after midnight, and is forecast to make landfall in the Florida Panhandle midday Wednesday with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph.

According to the National Hurricane Center's latest advisory, Michael could produce a life-threatening storm surge as high as 13 feet and dump as much as a foot of rain in some places.
