A man escaped with his life in a freak accident after a lorry crushed his scooter but left him untouched.

The man, who has not been identified, was captured in a traffic CCTV camera trailing a bus, which came to a sudden halt.

The man, who was speeding on his scooter, was unable to apply brakes as the road was slippery and wet with rain.

Trying to avoid colliding with the bus, he scraped against it and fell down on the road.

Just then, a lorry speeding from the opposite direction ran over his scooter crushing it partially. The tyres missed the man, who had fallen right next to his vehicle.

He was in shock, but was able to get up and walk to the side of the road.

The incident took place in Puthenkurish in Ernakulam district, Kerala, India.
