A safari guide working in Tanzania captured the clip of a lifetime when he filmed a pride of lions attempting to take down a huge African buffalo.

The dramatic video, which was captured on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater back in March, shows the male lions launching wave after wave of attacks on the lone buffalo.

According to the filmer, Salim Kiula, the lions struggled to take down their prey due to heavy rains that day, which had turned the ground to mud.

Eventually, the buffalo gets away and there is a standoff between the big cats and the bovine.

After a few seconds, the buffalo runs into the bushes followed by the lions.

"I think they managed to kill that buffalo but it was behind the bush so I couldn't film it," Kila said.

This was incredible sighting . I was driving from the nearby town to Ngorongoro and i came i cross this magnificent sight A few miter away from the veiwing point toward Serengeti. This happened afer a very big rain stop as you can the road is very mud and also very fog .
