This is the moment a brave dog had a stand-off with a king cobra in India.

Footage captured on October 23 in a garden near Koppa, Karnataka, shows the deadly serpent rearing up and bearing its fangs as the dog barks.

In the sunlight, the snake's fangs shine and the light spills through its hood, revealing the pattern on its scales.

Figures from 2016 revealed that around 46,000 people die from snake bites per year in India.

An encounter between a dog and a snake was caught on camera in Koppa of Chikkamagaluru Karnataka India, The interesting here is that the fangs of snake begins to shine due to the sun rays. This also alarmed the dog which kept staring at the reptile. The video was captured by one of the onlookers in a garden.
