Apple Stores in London make preparations ahead of iPhone XR release - and no queues?!

Buy video

Footage of two Apple Stores in London the night before the release of the iPhone XR.

The flagship Regent Street store surprisingly had no overnight queues. That was a different story last month for the iPhone XS release and certainly compared to Apple's previous iPhone releases. Staff are seen inside after the store has been closed for an hour, appearing to be making final preparations ahead of the launch.

The Covent Garden store is reopening on Friday after a long renovation, coinciding with the XR's release. Final preparations were being made there too, with the outside area blocked off from the public. Again, no overnight queues here! Black and white iPhone XRs were visible from outside.

All footage shot between 10-11pm.
