Is this Yorkshire's worst-maintained stretch of road?
Rawmarsh Road in Rotherham. Possibly the worst maintained stretch of road in South Yorkshire.
Huge potholes, whole areas with no tarmac at all. The closer you get to the kerb the worse it gets. And all the crumbled surface has collected in the gutters, meaning there's a skid risk to add to the potholes.
It has been reported multiple times over the last 3 years, and continues to get worse. The section towards the end is a mass of pothole patches that covers the full width of the road.
**This road was finally resurfaced in the summer...after local businesses were reporting it daily
