London Paddington chaos due to overhead power lines fault
Service disruption announcements and empty departure boards at Paddington mainline station today, usually one of London's busiest main commuter hubs. Damage to the overhead power lines used by trains causes the cancellation of all services inbound and outbound and an effective closure of the station for most of the day. Train services disrupted included express trains to Heathrow Airport causing passengers to miss their flights. All long distance journeys towards the west and Wales were also severely affected.
