These two cats start seemingly as friends, but quickly become engaged in a fierce but silent slapping match at their home in Detroit, Michigan.

The pair of cats, Mitten aged 2 in grey, and Egg aged 1 in white, get along very well according to their owner, but occasionally become locked in these cute play-battles.

The owner added: "They do this often, and if one of them gets hurt while they play they’ll meow and they both stop play fighting."
