A doctor in Vietnam has removed 15 years' worth of dirt from the ears of a female patient.

According to the doctor, named Tuan, who practices at a clinic in northern Phu Tho Province, the woman came to him complaining she could not hear. She said she was afraid to get water in her ears, which is why she had not cleaned them for 15 years.

Video shows the doctor using a scraper-like device to remove the disgusting accumulation of earwax and dirt from the woman's ear, filmed with a tiny camera.

Although the woman said she felt pain during the procedure, it took only four minutes and the doctor was able to completely remove the buildup of dirt.

The video was filmed with the patient's permission.
